Good Afternoon!
I am struggling to find the right-sized image to use the Featured Image on blog posts. When I set a featured image, it ends up being cut off when it is displayed on the home page. I looked through the documentation and can not seem to find any information on this topic. Considering my blog is about books, I tend to do more book covers. I have had limited luck putting the book on a background to make it more square (version long rectangle) but I am doing a lot of trial and error.
Long story, sorry, but looking for what the optimal length and width pixel sizes for the featured image to show in full on the home page. Or is it more ratio driven?
Thanks!

We apologize for having trouble with image size. In the theme, we use image size of 400X225 (16:9) in the blog posts section and 1056X594(16:9) on a single page.
You can use any higher resolution image with a 16:9 ratio. WordPress will automatically create both thumbnails.
Note: If you are using existing uploaded images then you need to regenerate your thumbnail to create the above 2 images size. To regenerate thumbnails you can use plugins like https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to reach back to us if you have any issues further.
Thank You,
